After graduating from Sint Lucas Ghent in 2015 and product design in 2016, Laurent began his career working for various companies in the interior architecture field, acquiring a diverse set of skills and experiences. 

In 2022, he founded his own firm, Studio Vassallo, that specializes in creating exceptional interior spaces that are both functional and aesthetically harmonious. Laurent believes that every project is unique and therefore approaches each project with a bespoke mindset.

The design process is inspired by the historical context and architectural structure of the building, the personality and lifestyle of the client, and the geographic location. This allows Laurent to create a truly individualized design that meets the client’s specific needs and desires.

In addition to interior architecture, he also specializes in creating handcrafted furniture such as tables made of solid wood or finished in limestone. Whether working with wood or limestone, he is always mindful of the natural beauty of these materials and aims to showcase their unique qualities in his designs.
